Notes on Encounters with God

Faith grows through encounter. An encounter is proof that you have met with God in a particular subject, situation, or manifestation. It is not theory — it is a living experience of God's reality breaking into yours.

  1. An encounter is proof that you have met with God in that particular subject or situation of discussion or manifestation.
  2. Everyone that did mightier works for God in the Old and New Testament had encounter(s) with God.
  3. The difference between Paul and the rest of the Apostles is encounter.
  4. Your battles reveal your true capacity — not your current status.
  5. Paul faced more physical and spiritual battles than other apostles.
  6. The difference between David, Solomon and other kings of Israel is encounter(s).
  7. The kind of work you can accomplish for the kingdom of God is limited by encounter(s). Moses got the children of Israel from Pharaoh the king of Egypt after he encountered God. From that encounter, he had a marching order to go to Pharaoh. Do not confront Pharaoh without encounter.
  8. If you have not met with God, do not claim you are speaking for God. God only confirms His word.
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." — Romans 10:17

Encounter is what separates the ordinary from the extraordinary in the kingdom of God. It is not simply about how long you have been in church, or how many scriptures you can quote. It is about whether you have truly met with God in that subject — whether His reality has intersected with yours in a way that changes how you live and what you can do.

Seek God earnestly. Pursue His presence. Ask for encounters. The God of the Bible is not distant — He is near to all who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18). Your encounter is waiting.
